Anup A. Vora, MD
Dr. Vora practices general urology and focuses on urologic oncology. He completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at the preeminent Cleveland Clinic Florida, and he specializes in the treatment of all urologic cancers. Dr. Vora cares for patients with prostate cancer with an emphasis on minimally invasive therapies such as high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), and primary and salvage surgery for complex cases. He is one of only a few physicians in the Mid-Atlantic region to offer HIFU for prostate cancer. He is certified by the American Board of Urology.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Birmingham-Southern College, B.S. and his medical doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Vora completed both his general surgery internship and urology residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC and a Urologic Oncology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Spanish.
Dr. Vora received certification in the principles and practice of clinical research from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 2007 and has published articles extensively on urologic cancer topics, including prostate, bladder and kidney cancer, in multiple medical journals. He is currently in private practice at Chesapeake Urology, the largest urology practice in the Mid-Atlantic area.
